What does a business prohibition entail?

A person under business prohibition is not allowed to run a business, be a partner in a trading partnership, serve on the board of a limited company, or sign on behalf of a company. They are also prohibited from working in a relative's business.

A business prohibition essentially means that the person must immediately cease all business activities. They must wind up any existing assignments and are not permitted to start a new business.

The business prohibition can last between three to ten years. In most cases, it is economic crimes that form the basis for a business prohibition.
